Bandera Methodist Church Serve Teams
At Bandera Methodist Church, there are many opportunities to serve Jesus through serving others. You are always welcome to connect and serve with us to make a difference. 1. Guest Service
We want to make all guests feel very welcome during all worship services and events. Ushers, greeters, information, and BMC host team members all work together to make our services run smoothly and provide a welcoming environment for our members and guests.
2. Events Team
Do you work well on a team? Do you love to shop for items needed in preparation for events? Do you love to serve at parties? Are you good at planning and coordinating large or small fellowship gatherings or outings? Special Events play an important part in building community within our local church. We are gathering a team to help with the preparation and staffing of our church fellowship gatherings and outings so we can maintain excellence before, during, and after each event.
3. Music Ministry
Are you gifted at singing or playing a musical instrument? We are developing a comprehensive music program for internal and external ministry efforts. We have two styles of worship music . . .a fresh modern worship sound and a traditional sound with piano and choir. There is room for your gift in our worship gatherings.
4. Discipleship Team
Jesus said to go and make disciples. Our goal is to bring people closer to Christ and teach them sound doctrine and Biblical truth that will help develop their Christian life and witness. Small group gatherings will be one way we will disciple believers and grow together. Are you willing to open your home for a small group study, or are you willing to join a small group leadership team?
5. Evangelism/Outreach Team
Do you want to share the gospel of Jesus Christ to the unchurched? We are developing teams to evangelize the lost and to build an awareness, within the community, of our church and our mission.
6. Facility Team
Our goal is to have a safe, fresh, and clean church facility ready to welcome our guests and honor God with what He has given. Are you good with indoor or outdoor cleaning and maintenance? Are you willing and able to faithfully complete a checklist of work that needs accomplished?
7. Missions Team
Do you have a heart to share the love of God in areas others may not be reaching? Do you desire to meet physical, emotional, or spiritual needs with the intent of building the Kingdom of God? We are gathering teams that are interested in local and foreign missions.
8. Care Team
Are you naturally caring and like to bless others? We are training and empowering care ministers to minister and care for families connected to BMC. We also want to strengthen our community attachment to one another by finding ways to encourage one another and develop meaningful relationships.
9. Sound/Media Team
Are you technically minded or creative? Do you have interest in learning sound or media? We are building a team to setup, teardown, maintain, and oversee sound and media for practices, services, productions, and ministry publications. We are actively seeking individuals who are interested in learning to run our live streaming and in house worship sound and media.
10. Registration Team
Can you follow directions and implement established systems? Do you have a working knowledge of computers and are willing to learn to operate our data and organizational software? Do you like to help keep things neat and orderly? Our registration team works kiosk check in stations, attendance records, and event registration.
11. Set-Up & Take-Down Team
he Set-up/Take-down Team helps transform spaces for BMC services, gatherings, and events, providing distraction-free, excellent environments where guests can experience God.
12. Hospitality Team
Do you love to bake, cook, and/or serve others in hospitality? The Hospitality Team will use their culinary skills to provide for the needs of our church ministry outreach and gatherings. They will bake and/or serve refreshments and/or meals for special gatherings, parties, training, meetings, outreach, welcoming gifts, and conferences. They will help create a welcoming environment and a touch of class for all who attend.
13. Safety/First Aid Team
The First Aid Team uses their gifts and professional training to meet basic first aid needs at weekend services, conferences, and special events.
14. Assimilation Team
The Assimilation Team will identify and engage those that have not yet connected to BMC. Team members will champion the Connection Class and encourage others to make a difference by joining the BMC Serve Team. This team will also communicate with other teams as they plan and prepare for all future Connection Classes.
15. Shuttle Team
The Shuttle Team will provide transportation to and from church services and church sponsored events. No CDL required, church shuttle bus available. Subject to background check and insurance approval.
16. Children and Youth Teams
Do you enjoy working with children? Are you a good role model? You may have the opportunity to serve in one of our ministries for children and youth as support staff. Subject to background check and available open positions.
